RegMed XB
RegMed XB is a public-private partnership dedicated to bringing regenerative medicine solutions to patients. To support the transition from technology-driven research to patient-driven research, DPF has facilitated a series of roadmapping sessions for each of the RegMed XB 'moonshots': promising regenerative applications in the area of kidney, diabetes, osteoarthritis, and cardiovascular research.
Interviews and roadmap sessions
A series of in-depth interviews with all stakeholders formed the basis for the roadmap discussions. In these interviews, respondents highlighted the steps they thought should be taken to move from the research bench to the clinic. By discussing the interview findings within the group, participants arrived at a shared view on the stepds that need to be taken to reach the moonshot.
The roadmapping sessions subsequently brought together the consortium partners within the moonshots (including researchers, clinicians and health foundations) to construct roadmaps. The roadmaps : a timeline with the most important milestones and go/no-go-moments for research, translation and financing.
Roadmaps
The resulting roadmaps map necessary actions on a timeline and appoint the responsible actors, making sure that all dimensions are covered:
- Research choices (identifying opportunities against the global state-of-the-art, including translational potential);
- Translation (patient routes, regulatory pathways and commercialisation);
- Financing (matching funding needs with opportunities).
